Description of Responsibilities
We are a growing Financial Technology firm located in Central Jersey and are looking for a senior network architect/engineer. As we expand our lines of business and products in the financial services market - we need someone with a strong technical background in the networking space but who also has fresh, new and innovative ideas on how to make our platform increasingly efficient.
We have built a state of the art technology platform that delivers low latency connectivity between our clients - with a couple of new products launching onto our platform in the next year - the senior architect/engineer will be responsible for evaluating emerging technologies, making recommendations on new tech/vendors, and drive the implementation of POC's from lab trials to delivery phases.
A core technical background is needed for this role - with a focus both on big picture ideas as well as granular details in the industry.
Technical skills needed:
Extensive knowledge and experience on routing, switching and multicast – design, configuration, troubleshooting and best practices.
Knowledge and experience on TCP/IP, latency monitoring concepts, packet capture analysis, Network security and Firewalls/VPNs.
Datacenter build out, datacenter operation would be plus.
Knowledge of Corporate wireless access, Netscaler/DNS/load balancing and Citrix, and security practices would be plus.
Team and detail oriented, open and collaborative work ethic with a well-developed sense of ownership and responsibility, flexible, adaptable and easy to work with.
Technical maturity to operate in highly controlled environment.
Effective and responsive interaction with both internal teams and external clients.
Ability to understand complex networking and business concepts and translate them into clear, concise and complete solutions.
